I find Carrot tolerable and occasionally funny and/or interesting. As for his relationship with Angua, I'd say the fact that he's living in sin with her shows Carrot isn't as straight laced as people might think. I could easily see him marrying her but the current situation seems stable so why would Carrot who's patently not an instigator be the one to propose. I see him marrying her if she drops some not too subtle hints or him and some of the lads have a talk with him about his relationship

Are they actually living in sin by his standards though? We know that up until recently drawfs were not very open abut their relationships and *cough* sexuality, so does marriage actually exist in the underground dwarf world?

If not, then as we know, Carrot is not the brightest when it comes to the social aspects of Ankh-Morpork and how it works. Although he is getting better is there a chance that he isn't even aware that he should have asked her by now?

The Truth covers certain aspects of dwarf marriage and The Discworld Companion talks about it in detail about it. So dwarf marriage certainly exists and Carrot very likely knows about it. Whether dwarfs are having sex before marriage is something that dwarfs would likely keep between themselves so there'd likely be no shaming by society so no shame attached to it by the aforementioned dwarfs.

Thanks! I haven't read any of the Discworld Companion books so wasn't aware
