Hi Emma and welcome. :) I've not been here very long so I just suggest you browse for a while then just jump in and say what you think. They seem like a friendly bunch and anyone who loves Discworld must be OK! :D
I think the answer lies in the soil, ooo arrr!

Hi Emma and welcome to the forum,
It's pretty good here especially as we all have a passion for Discworld and it can be a little hard to find others to share your views on the books with in the real world, I don't know any readers of discworld ,so here it's great to discuss characters and such but mostly we waffle about anything and everything!!

Emma, just remember that we were all new to message boards once and hopefully every one will remember what it was like - I certainly do.

We are a friendly bunch here (unlike some places  ) and we are very forgiving. I hope you'll jump in soon and join in. If you were looking for other people who read the books, then you've come to the right place.

Don't be afraid to ask advice or for help if you need it - we'll be happy to help.

And most importantly - enjoy yourself. Coming here is about having fun with a bunch of like minded Discworld fans.

Welcome to the board. :)
Look, you've got it all wrong! You don't NEED to follow ME, You don't NEED to follow ANYBODY! You've got to think for your selves! You're ALL individuals!
Yes! We're all individuals!

Hi Emma, that is my favorite Discworld book as it parodies the fantasy genre which I read a lot of, what done it for me was the Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser referance in it and I was hooked from there.

But anyway welcome to the forum I'm sure you will be happy here. :)

Hi, Emma. Happy to have you with us :)
