Oh the original was brilliant! The book even more so, as you can really scare yourself shi-witless in your mind!

Remakes are seldom as good as the original.

I give you the Lady Killers (remake). God awful!

I haven't seen Deep Impact, but I enjoyed Armageddon. Sure, it's a load of old cobblers, but it's fun.
Scientists are predicting the future will be much more futuristic than originally predicted

I just masochistically watched Armageddon. I keep convincing myself that it can't possibly be as bad as I remember, but every time I prove that I was wrong: it just gets worse. :doh:

Enjoyed both so don't care :-)

I have the ability to turn my head off when watching a film and just enjoy it, I don't attempt to critique for the sake of it.

Try it, its fun.
