Another Witches Book?

Postby foggywellington » Mon Feb 14, 2011 4:09 am

Hi! Just wondering if anybody thinks/knows if Mr Pratchett is going to write another Witches book? I've just discovered them (before that I only read the Watch Books) and i'm totally hooked, and want more! But it starting to look like I shall Wear Midnight was the last.... Is there going to be another book with Granny, Nanny Ogg, Magrat and Anges?

Hi foggy! :P

The trouble is, who would Granny fight? She's fought wizards, an evil king, her sister, elves and vampires etc.

We know she ain't going to lose. :D

The only way I could see another witch book would be if Granny goes to the bad - but that wouldn't be Granny. :(

Have you read the one-off books like Pyramids, Small Gods, Soul Music, Pyramids, Monstrous Regiment or Pyramids etc?

Or the Death books like Mort, Reaper Man, Thief of Time, Pyramids or Hogfather etc

They're all very good, especially Pyramids.

I really don't know Terry's plans, but I'm certain we haven't seen the last of Granny and co.

Hi Foggy. I think i detect a slight bias there on Poohs response  I like Pyramids as well it has some wonderful short cameos that are really funny.
One of those? Oh I'm sure I have one somewhere..

Always liked the idea of a "Granny & Nanny ... The Early Years" book.

Watching them both through their training ... and Nanny's .. erm ... extra curricular activities!

Oh great idea.

Welcome, OperaGhost.

Very interesting opera ghost. I know one or two of the books hinted at the two witches youths but a whole flashback book could really work. Nightwatch showed a young vimes so why not Granny :D
