Hi everyone!

I´m Lydia from Germany and a Discworld fan since January 07.

I´ve still not finished all the books maybe I take so long because I only

read them in the original language and maybe thats why Im lurking

around in three other english Forums as well posting once a while

sometimes more, sometimes less but everywhere with lots of fun.


Im looking forward to meeting old and new friends here

Hey to all fellow fans of of the great Terry Prattchett, this is my first time posting and stuff so take pity Been a massive fan for about 8 years, love all the books, espescially the the ones with rincewind!

anyway hope to get involved with some events in the future,but dont know where to start would like a bit of advice if anyone has it.

Thats it from me for now, take care and dont eat the green wobbly bit!

Been in awe of Terry for a few years now since I read my very first copy of the colour of magic. Its been pure bliss ever since with his other books and also Good Omens with Neil Gaiman.

Managed to get to the convention in August, and it was a-mazing.

Oh goody Let's hope my typing doesn't go to waste!

My name is Juliet, I'm 14, and obsessed with the series. I wonder if I'm too young to read them, but I do believe I have a good grasp in the English language for a person my age
(Seriously, I'm supposed to be out playing video games, talking to 20 people on MSN at one time, and doing homework!)

I live in Australia, and no more locational information provided! I don't seem to have much else to say, other then the fact that Terry Pratchett's books have inspired me to write my own book one day. Or after a multitude of days. Writing a book in one day doesn't seem possible in my standards. I'm more of the steady procrastinator.

Oh, and I wish to go someday to England (when I'm older and able to leave the house legally..), and hopefully visit a convention and get a book signed by my literature hero, Terry Pratchett!

Really, I doubt there is anything else I want to say. I bet some of this I've repeated but anywho..

Good for you Juliet! Just because everyone else your age is doing something doesn't mean you have to as well.

I don't believe there is a 'too young' age to read the books - providing that you can actually read. Anyone will get something from the books and the more of life you experience the more the books will mean to you.

I know that I was reading anything I could get my hands on when I was a kid and didn't worry about whether it was 'too old for' me.

hello raku, you dont have to be a juvenile to enjoy game consoles. im 39 and ive got an xbox360 and a wii. good luck with the book i tried but couldnt spell procrastinate and still cant

Hi racku.Welcome to the site.Your typing is definatly not going to waste.
As your ambition is to write a book [or two],I think that Terry Pratchett can't be faulted as a role model.
You have a lot of reading to do if you're going to read all of Terry's books,but the sheer pleasure they will give you will enrich your life and hopefully fire that ambition of your's.

2 kids and an undieing love of the discworld

spend many hours in w h smiths when a new book comes out (have been thrown out of a few for laughting to much) as am to poor to buy hardbacks and have to wait for paperbacks Darn you book publishers always with the pound of flesh

look forward to spending many hours on here talking about my fav thing
