Sounds a bit like "Airfix".
So your boat would have the mast badly glued to the poop deck, leaking bilges and the aft and stern mixed up with the starboard and port, be very badly painted and would sink.

Hi Poobh, I do know a fair bit I used to sail a bit when I was a lot younger

I appear to have started something. Explanation - possibly unnecessary - below:
Yes, Getafix (as I think you well know) is in Asterix.
But, having done some sailing in my time, on a particularly pleasant jaunt to the Channel Islands, the seven of us on the boat decided that, by the end of the trip, we'd come up with suggestions for naming a boat and the best one would win (nothing). Sailing past Alderney, I tried to get a fix to avoid a particularly annoying rock just below the water's surface. The rest is, now, history. We didn't sink and the name was the eventual winner. At least it wasn't Unhygenix.
