Years ago (when I still had my library) a neighbour visited and said :Ohhhhhhh! You like books! I have some I can pass on to you if you like books"

And she gave me about 50 Mills and Boon
I read about ten of them yes. Then my brain EXPLODED!!!!!!!!!
Actually I ended up at the library researching the whole Mills and Boon genre. There is a VERY set formula.... Boy meets girl, girl hates boy... and there is actually a page NUMBER for the scenarios of what happens. It works for them and they stick to it religiously.
There is a VERY good living to be made from it. A few Aussie authors do it as Aussie themed books. Its not for me. Don't regret my time reading them.... it was was doing colouring in to relax. And i don't have a problem with anyone reading them either.... reading is good in whatever form. As long as someone is relaxing and off with the fairies.... isn't that waht all fiction is about? Reading doesn't all have to be serious or teach lessons.
After all... bodice busters have been around for sooooooooo long.... take Pride & Prejudice.
Don't beat me Jan don't beat me
