A Wife, but I was very happy about that. :mrgreen:

Happy days were here again.But when I was a young teen (when are they anything thing else)A solid silver bracelet at the time I was a bit gutted.

I'm not quite sure I want to go that far again once bitten and all that but there again I had a particularly bad one,maybe I had done something in a previous life to deserve it. Glad I'm an optomist.

I lost a 21c gold Parker fountain pen, after only having it for a few days. My Godfather gave it to me for my 10th Birthday. I wanted to take it to school, Mum said NO, but I did anyway & lost it on the way home.

Boy was I in trouble! :cry:

Have lost two of my darling cats, one hit by a car and one got very sick :cry:

Other than that, I once forgot a discman and a bunch of cd's on the train and they were of course stolen....my own fault, but very irritating.

Quite a few years ago I lost an amber ring. Was gutted then, but was a gift from an ex so haven't bothered about that loss since we split up.
(Most of the jewlery I got from him I've given away anyway).

I have lost my marbles! Anyone with an active imagination should stop reading now, as the explanation may disappoint you ...

When I was of school age I used to love playing marbles and had some really pretty ones. My Aunt decided to donate various items to a jumble sale, and without asking me, she donated my marbles as she 'thought that I no longer played with them'. I still haven't forgiven her!

Also; my cat (Kipper) and a few grey cells!

I was doing an Action For Employment course. I was doing a graphic's design course (a very basic one using two different software programs, I preferred Photoshop to the other one, I can't remember the name of it now.

Anyway I was designing a front cover for one of my novels and I was also designing a leaflet for a made-up theme park (I chose Lord of the Rings ... I will scan it in and save it and show you one day.) And I was doing a magazine on books covering all genres.

Anyway I had it all saved on Wednesday when I finished. When I went to load it up on Thursday and continue my project I had lost ALL THREE MONTHS WORK! :evil:

Suffice it to say that whenever I save something now I double and triple check before I switch off the computer.

Two years before that I lost my grandparents. One was the only grandfather I had ever known. He had died first. My grandmother had a stroke fourteen weeks later, two weeks after that she died. I still sorely miss them. Especially at this time of year as we used to stay with them a week during the Easter holidays. I always associate the first warm spring days with my grandparents.

Over a year ago I lost my cat Spicy, he was nineteen years old, and we had him since I was eight! He was there when I needed him, he loved cuddles, he purred incessantly, and he was always ready to cheer me up after a bad day at school.

I lost a game of golf today against one of my students because I played like a donkey and couldn't have putt the skin off a rice pudding. Getting three 8s in a row also didn't help much. 109 - pah!

Over 25 years ago I lost somebody I didn't know I had until it was too late - also Zetti, Loki (cats) and Rowley (spaniel). :cry:

Marbles I never lose - just misplace them now and then.... :lol:

The worst thing I've lost? Id say innocence . I used to see the world as a pretty place. Now I have become Victor Meldrew. Also my favourite spaniel Tess. She was a classy girl and was my best mate for 14 years. I did loose my sterophonics album..but I found it again ...Phew!
