Snuff Release

Hi All,

As a new member - I thought I'd post some potentially useful information... and apologies if this is patronising but I was titilated to see that Snuff is available to pre-order from Amazon (due for publication on my brithday.. hmmm).

If anyone would like to say hi to a ressurected Disc member then that'd be great - or not - depending....

PS wonder if there will be a video made...
PPS Not to be sneezed at...

October sounds about right for Pratchett releases these days. I remember when it wasn't unusual to get three books a year. :shock:

Thankyou Tony and yess - indeed - those were the days !
Then it became once a year - but an ideal time for my partners stocking filler - which was a bit trickier when Last Hero came out..

The next (and I trust not last) Companion is also on pre order - for 2012 - I noticed.

I'll wait for the paperback. I refuse to pay extortionate hardback prices.

I used to think like that, but places like Tesco sell brand new, first edition hardbacks for around £10. A paper back isn't a lot cheaper and you don't have to wait. :)

There's always specials on new releases. I do like my hardbacks but won't spent a mint on them unless they're special editions or signed. Got ISWM for 11 euro from play so less than your english tenner.

Yeah, got it from Play too, they've usually got a special offer on new releases. Often saves me 5 to 10 euros - although you do get the book a bit later than from the stores.

I can wait the week usually . Ita allows me to wrap up other books. :D

I also have a problem with the weight of hardbacks.

I have an arthritis-type condition in my fingers/wrists and arms, and I find hardbacks very difficult to hold when reading.

Most of my reading is done in bed.
Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.

The rest of us are a bit crap.

Fair enough. The small paperbacks are great for travelling with too. Hence i have two copies of most of the books.
