Would it be possible to ask the techies if they could do a couple of things please if people think it's a good idea:

1. Only make the Memberlist available to members

2. Have a 'secret' thread that only members can view ie not public; in case any one wishes to give information to other members but not to public. It could be called something like Elucidated Brethren of the Ebon Night or, perhaps more aptly as this is a forum 'Post Office Workers' Friendly and Benevolent Society'

I wouldnt want the memberlist be hidden, because I think some people might want to know who else is in before joining.

But having a secret part to post in the Forum is a very good idea, at least I could talk about my weight there

I can't altogether see a good reason to make the member list secret - could you explain more why it would be a good idea?

As for the 'secret' forum - I'm on another site where we have this and I'm not sure it gets used that much. So I'm in two minds about it.

Private areas in other fora I'm on are for the discussion of sensitive topics, I don't know if that's terribly appropriate here?

Sorry, don't see a lot to gain from a hidden member list either.

Might I say I had no idea there was an old one XD
I wish there was more in the site..but it does seem quite new.
The layout looks great, suits the theme magnificently The quality could be the slightly bit better ;] We should have a layout contest or something..

There wasn't an 'old' site. This one is brand new. The thread is for people's opinions of what they see and suggestions on improving it.
