PMSL = p*ssing myself laughing (that's Tony's fault-ish)
Repertory = used in Drama/Theatre - a company of actors (pros or amateur) who perform in various plays often 'on the road' but sometimes based in 1 theatre (like The Globe/Shakespeare or the Larry Olivier/Kenneth Branagh updated celluloid version)
Besom = official word for a witch-type broomstick (in this context like the broom Mickie uses in Sorcerer's Apprentice... )

Anyways, I just wrote 'Scientist's apprentice' because it was easier than writing what Skylux actually was...

Alchemist's apprentice is fine. I gather from 'The Science of the Discworld' that the wizards haven't encountered science or scientists on Discworld.

Meh. I like to write. Actually, writing a book right now (Although I never expect to finish it....

I'm pretty sure that my character still qualifies, though, as they contain a similar personality to my own.

Plus I don't recall any Captain Cabbage appearing in Discworld.

Both Capt Cabbage (who I predict will be eclipsing Carrot in the 'wise-cracking' and liking to cause a stink department ) and Varenth are fine for this - they should be you as you'd be if you lived in Ankh-Morpork.
And yes indeed - science becomes magic on Discworld

no predjudice against anyone
she must have something to bite
classy but friendly if you don't make her angry
loyal
strong and beautiful (well, in a role play you can be what you want right? )

I've never played a proper D&D game myself (Wasn't really in the right place at the right time to catch on) but I'm aware that a 'Dungeon Master' usually orchestrates the plot. Perhaps we should have one to give a basic beginning/intro to the story, just to point our characters in the right direction.

This is supposed to be a free-roaming cheapo D&D version of that and no real structure as such so it doesn't strictly need a games master. This is what Ponder was setting up -

Heres a thread similar to cheeries sentence-by-sentence game. We can add up to 2 sentences each of a story about discworld, but with a twist; we are the characters!! then we add our characteristics to the character - please give a (relativley)short list of traits, havits and other when u sign up

We choose a character to be at the start, at least 5 people before we start.

So it's self-cast (and a little like the Guildty thread in that we're playing or combining ourselves with an existing Terry character in Discworld) and the rest of it is writing a story as he says above in no more than 2 sentences that we post as we go (we don't even need to keep to a strict order) - no plot as such, just your chosen role and anyone can prod the tale in a different direction.

If you're eager to start then go for it and just put something on for your character as an intro and then off we go. No real rules as such except maybe don't post back to back too much as then other people tend to drift away
