OK - with roleplay games we get this all the time and it's v. simple to address

Cheery and Tina don't really have a prob as their playing characters are the same (or mostly in Tina's case)

As for the rest us - as we're playing characters that are different from their user names we just name our character at the top of our posts - so I would do this at the start of my post -

GASPODE
Gaspode was in a very bad mood, he really was. The Canting Crew had been playing him up something chronic and as for Angua! Blah blah blah...

Some forums also encourage people to put a small pic of their character beside their character name as well - this is the one of Glorfindel that I use for Lord of the Rings games when I play him


Glorfindel:
Elven Battle Chieftain (would use that title in a Battle game )

This way people can use the 'flags' in the post window to identify who's who

You could call yourself Skippy and be a kangaroo from XXXX and just make up your own rules as you go along.

re: reading posts - the most vital post to read when you join a thread is the 1st one. This one was started by Ponder and combines a partial RP for people to play a combination of themselves and their real life characteristics, meshed in with a disc character (so yes, you can make up a character of your own or use one of Terry's) with the round robin idea of writing a story together 2 sentences at a time as you chosen character (I think).

Ponder's trying to work out how we can do this in character if we're not playing this by username and I'm suggesting a method to keep our character's straight that's used on my own and other RP sites all the time - but Ponder's heading this up so maybe he or the others have a better idea. But you've got a nice scarred sprout avatar out of it if nothing else pooh

Meh. I like to write. Actually, writing a book right now (Although I never expect to finish it. I had to start over when I dropped my laptop and lost everything, now I've resorted to writing it on my graphics calculator.) And I'm reasonably new to Valenth too - but I still pride myself on my extra-long posts.

Oops, Jan posted while I was writing. Ok, I'm sorry, should have read it more closely. I'm pretty sure that my character still qualifies, though, as they contain a similar personality to my own.
