The game is fun to play, its not a difficult game, the rules are easy to understand. But it is not so easy to win the game!

Ordered the Ankh Morpork game today. It seems less convoluted than the Guards! Guards! game but I may be wrong So I'll have something to entertain you all when you come to my houseparty

We played both games yesterday - first time for GG, second for A-M.

A-M is definitely more straightforward to play and understand - there are fewer rules, and most of what you need to know is written on the cards themselves and the player-boards. (I have the Collector's edition, so pieces are wooden rather than the elegant models above, but the dice has a 7a on it ) Both games I've played, Vimes won (deck ran out) but only about a turn or two before Vetinari or Chrysophase would have won.

GG is quite complex, and it took us almost 3 hours to get through the game, and we kept forgetting bits of the rules all the time (moving the luggage, collecting money/levels after returning a spell). However, it was still quite a close game, which is always a good sign.

If you just wan't to play the game there is doesn't matter. The artwork is exactly the same. The collectors edition has another box cover and some other stuff like no number between 7 & 9

Just asking for a friend once found a game that came in a deluxe version as well (heck if I could remember the title), he got the regular one and it was near unplayable as they took the thinnest cardboard possible for the playing pieces (deluxe had wood) which resulted in them getting messed up before the end of the game
