It is spoiling my fun in the forum so I have decided to bow out! I MAY MAY MAY start scanning again .... oneday (most probably the day before the comp ends and I will be bald and weeping if I DO do it then)....

Just too much work over the next few days and SO exhausted after I get home and do the kid thing.

You know, my first encounter with the word 'sadist' was reading the novelisation of Doctor Who: The Invasion by Ian Marter. One of the first Doctor Who novels I ever read. It was also my introduction to 'bloody hell' (as in "Bazookas! Where the bloody hell are you?" It makes sense in context) and 'bastard'. I was eight years old at the time, although luckily, 'bastard' didn't stick. 'Sadist' was in the original story as transmitted, but Ian Marter was infamous for putting in expletives into his novelisations, not to mention making the violence more explicit. He describes the victim of a Cyberman's laser as having a face like melted toffee papers... :shock:
