The nice thing about World of Warcraft is that it changes all the time. With each content patch there are changes, and there are several content patches per year. And the underlying story develops all the time. And with the new expansion Cataclysm, which will be out in 18 days, there will be very drastic changes; the iinitial patches for the expansion already brought lots of them; it is as if the game was made completely new. And the latest patch, which was uploaded two days ago, will trigger the events which lead to the catacysm. There have been foreboding little earthquakes again and again over the last three weeks.
And the cataclysm will completely change the way the wolrd looks; there is hardly a zone whuich won'z be affected by it. Cities will partially or completely be partially (Stormwind City) or completely (Auberdine) destroyed, whole islands will sink, big rifts will appear in other regions, and the ongoing war between the horde and the alliance will become a lot more fierce.
Friede and I have seen videos from the beta test, and it really is incredible how much the world will change. I can hardly wait until Dec 7th.
