they have virsions wich you can use a dictaphone while your away from the computer, and then conect it and it type it. they are a fiddly mess but getting much better than they were

I noticed on the Unseen Academicals preview thread, that he credits someone called Rob as typing it for him.

Presumably, the same Rob who is his assistant, wot woz seen on the BBC documentaries?

Yes, Rob is his PA.

Terry is using (I believe) Dragon voice recognition software. But it obviously still requires someone to go through it and make corrections.

It can make interesting mistakes, first daraft of disatation would have been bad. I'm glad that he's found stuff that can at least help a bit.
If I ever meet him I'd tank him for helping me get reading by, along with D Adams, providing books wich kepeed me reading

That might explain why, in my copy of Witches Abroad, "Germany" is substituted for "Genua" at one point.

I'd ask him how difficult it was to get published, and if he had any tips. I'm sure he'sporbably said it in some interview or on some website, but i'll eb damned if i can find the blasted thing

Fred does actually "have a talk" with Mrs. Colon when he decides Not to retire, having been all to close to the soil in Feet of Clay. Just wanted to let ya know. :wink:

I wish I could have had time with him back in the day when he was not horrifically famous and now sick, but alas, there are such things in this nasty old world.

I liked 'The Truth' a lot, would love to see another one with William as the protagonist.

You probably be better of asking Terry's editor Colin Smythe about tips for getting published as he sometimes is with Terry at signing and events also conventions. :wink:
