2013 Discworldcon bid

Postby Who's Wee Dug » Tue Oct 25, 2011 12:04 am

Just found this on Twitter for 2013 NADWCON

My choice would be Phoenix again or Boston as 2nd choice.

Jeff's gonna have to think of a really good excuse not to go this time if Boston gets it :P

Actually I've always wanted to go to Boston so I might shell out for a cheapo flight if it gets it

I always felt pretty much the same way about Boston so I could be tempted as well. Rather than fly though, I wouldn't mind making a full holiday of it and take a cruise there instead.

To be honest, I don't like flying that much. I find it too cramped, restrictive, and rushed. With a short break cruise there, you get pampered and well fed for a couple of days.

It would be more than a couple of days from Worthing to Boston though, eh?

Possibly, but since the idea is to make a complete holiday of it, time doesn't matter too much. :D (The price might though  )

There is a chance I could go in 2013 and it would have to be East coast so I really don't mind if its B or B. I think I'd prefer B.

Would like to catch a live NFL game but seeing as the Con will be middle of the year, thats that dream out of the window
