Be aware that if you get too many of one character at a convention, Terry might make you prove who is the best.

At one convention, so many people turned up as Rincewind that he made them have a race.

When do you start dressing up for these Conventions? When you arrive or ready dressed on arrival?

I don't think I'm going to travel on the train like Death

So I think I'm going to dress up after I've arrived

I could just imagine flying to Rotterdam on a plane dressed as a witch! There'd be lots of flying comments and lack of broom etc!

There's all sorts of health and safety stuff too - have to check in any heavy duty weapons (scythes and possibly broomsticks ) for just wandering around the hotel and convention rooms. At Birmingham they let you have them back for the Maskerade but I'm not sure whether they're having one for this?

However - I'm not going in for the Maskerade even if they do have one, so I'll only dress up inside and for the posh din-dins
