If you haven't already, you should read The Handmaid's Tale (futuristic story where one religion has replaced all others, for the good of the people whether they like it or not), and The Book of Dave (a book written by a taxi driver for his son becomes a religious text in the future). Or you could just play up the time cop thing
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

I have read the handmaid's tale, and very scarey it was too. :D

I have a rough idea where I'm going, but my plan will no doubt get derailed on route.

Bad news, you've just been relegated to a normal cop, not a time cop. :(
Good news, you're going to have a big part to play in the second half of the book. :D
Bad news, you're going to be a sadistic religious cop on the parallel fundi Christian world.

(assuming I get that far, of course)

If I have a big role I'm happy 8)
Getting an education was a bit like a communicable sexual disease. It made you unsuitable for a lot of jobs and then you had the urge to pass it on.
