This is one of my top five fave songs, but the words have been altered on youtube for public consumption. On the proper version the word "very" should be "f**king".

"You're so "f**cking special"

Sorry to crash your party Pooh but hope this brings back some memories of Knebworth for you. This is from 1973 and I’m beginning to wonder from your musical choices if you were around in 1973

Sadly I was in my twenties when this was recorded. At the time my hair was considerably longer than Robert Plants and probably explains why I no longer have the need of a hairbrush

Edit: Sorry, Mortimer, I thought I'd jump right under erm... carrot.

And here:

arguably the best bass line in the history of rock music. And the video's great :)

Looks like the bottle of wine Pooh had drunk earlier on finally put an end to his party. Shame I was just starting to enjoy myself. I’m not really into the music of today in fact to be honest I still only listen to the groups I’ve been to see in the distant past. However if I had to go to see a more up to date band then I’d quite fancy seeing this lot.

Hi Kladivo

Would the bass guitarist in The Fields of the Nephilim be a laddie called Tony Pettitt I know they went through a few line up changes but your dead right whoever it was at the time can certainly handle a bass 8)

Pleased your coming back to the party Pooh I've just nipped home for my records

I've not been on the forum long enough to know but is there a You Tube thread anywhere for the members to share their favourite music. If not do think it would it be considered an appropriate thread this forum.

I'm back!

there's a "song of the month thread" in the Broken Drum where you can only post ONE song/month.

I'll now listen and watch yours and Kladivo's songs.

Good idea, Here it is.

And yes, Tony was playing bass all the way to Elizium if I remember well.

Kladivo, I used to love the Sisters.

Temple of love and Alice were classics. First and last and always was a brilliant album.

In this video it shows Petra (Indy Jones - Last Crusade), been there, bought the postcard, took the photo. Amazing place! Better than Machu Pichu.

Next one - Fields Of Nephilim.

I loved the Mission. TFofN are just copying them. I saw the Mission with the FofN supporting them and the Mission blew them off. Serpant's Kiss blew me away!

You tell me... I MOVED to Leeds :)

And The Mission - well, I shall remain silent. I interviewed Hussey once and he's a very, very nice bloke but a devoted goth as I am I do not possess a single one Mission album nor do I wish to do so :P

Next one - Primal Scream

I love Psychadelica. I love Rocks Off and always sing it at Karaoke in Japan.

The Who's "Long Live Rock" is truly classic with the first verse... Not being able to make it from bar to stage without hurling. Classic. Simply Fab. Who can hold a candle to that?
Aha! So, Bob's yer uncle... very clever.
