It sure is! I've been a Paul McGann fan since I first saw Withnail & I years ago. Haven't seen that Ep. of Waking the Dead, shall have to check it out. I'm really chuffed that my daughter thinks he made an excellent Dr.

Btw, it's very sweet that you thanked your mum back there. What a nice young man you are.

Thanks. But I'm really a rude, antisocial little sod.

Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.

The rest of us are a bit crap.

Welp, the final episode title has been revealed.

So, the remaining episodes are...

Hide by Neil Cross

Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS by Stephen Thompson

The Crimson Horror by Mark Gatiss

Nightmare in Silver by Neil Gaiman (looking forward to this one)...

And finally...

Wait for it...

The Name of the Doctor by Steven Moffat

This could be so great, or so bad, depending on how it is done. They shouldn't actually reveal the name. But they should show why it's a secret.

Ooooh - I enjoyed that one! :D

It occurred to me that Matt Smith could make a great Rincewind.

My mate Paul, a film maker from New Zealand interviewed various Dr Who people at the Lords of Time event in NZ.

Here he interviews Paul McGann and Nicholas Briggs (the voice of Cybermen and Daleks).

And here, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy.

I was at the Brisbane Lords of Time event. Wonderful. :D

Of course, today was going to be the day I met Sylvester McCoy (again) and Alex Kingston at Supanova. Unfortunately, poor Alex Kingston came down with a bad case of food poisoning today ( :( ), though I hadn't purchased an autograph ticket beforehand, and while the offer was there to have items sent to her hotel room to sign, I decided to not avail myself of this opportunity for a variety of reasons. One, I had actually wanted to meet her face to face, even if only briefly. Two, I didn't want to add to her burden by sending her something to sign in a moment of infirmity. Three, the Doctor Who Fan Club of Australia had Big Finish audios cheap, and for the price of an autograph, I could have two Big Finish stories. Four, meeting her would have been nice, but I was there to see Sylvester McCoy (again) and Dave Gibbons. Meeting and getting an autograph from Alex Kingston wasn't a priority. Sorry, Alex Kingston. Get well soon. :)

And as for Sylvester McCoy, I think he remembered me from Lords of Time (I have a distinctly spelt name that I get pedantic with people to get right, so it isn't just the case with my username), and he signed my copy of Ghost Light. I also got to ask him a question at the seminar he was supposed to be sharing with Alex Kingston. Nice guy, but you can tell he's getting old. Poor sod stepped down the stairs from the stage rather carefully. :( I guess all those stunts in the Ken Campbell Roadshow and Doctor Who are catching up with him. The number of flights he recently had been on couldn't have helped, either. But he's a great performer. Very funny. Kept referring to Matt Smith as the '12 year old', although he praised his acting skills. There were a few anecdotes he had already related at Lords of Time (including one about Survival involving an overheated extra who stripped out of a Cheetah Person costume and ran away from the quarry wearing nothing but a thong), but that was partly because he was asked the same bloody questions.

Anyway, besides a number of signed items (I had, for example, my copy of Watchmen signed by Dave Gibbons), I also got a number of Doctor Who Big Finish audios: The Elite, The Butcher of Brisbane, The Wrong Doctors, and The Magic Mousetrap.

I think that was a good call with Alex Kingston, Q. If she's feeling ill it is only polite to leave her alone rather than expecting her to sign stuff. :)
