Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.

The rest of us are a bit crap.

It's Aram Khachaturian's Adagio of Spartacus and Phrygia from his ballet 'Spartacus'.

RIP.

I thought he died years ago. Go figure. Pity he's dead. I didn't watch The Onedin Line, but I saw his performance in the Doctor Who story Frontios, where he played a morally ambiguous security chief called Brazen. He's only seen a couple of times briefly in this trailer, but it was a good story...

I've lived for over 2000 years, and not all of them were good ones. I've made many mistakes. And it's about time I did something about that.

Well, you know what they say. The past is a foreign country - - With an outdated military and huge oil reserves!

RIP Peter Gilmore.
I loved the Onedin Line.
Met him in Dartmouth many years ago now. he was shopping & was carrying several carrier bags, so I couldn't ask for his autograph. He was also in a hurry. :D
Best wishes,
Tiff
