I thought he died years ago. Go figure. Pity he's dead. I didn't watch The Onedin Line, but I saw his performance in the Doctor Who story Frontios, where he played a morally ambiguous security chief called Brazen. He's only seen a couple of times briefly in this trailer, but it was a good story...

RIP Peter Gilmore.
I loved the Onedin Line.
Met him in Dartmouth many years ago now. he was shopping & was carrying several carrier bags, so I couldn't ask for his autograph. He was also in a hurry. :D
