Glad you liked Pacific Rim Dug. We're hoping to catch that at the theater.

I recently watched Dredd on DVD. Bloody violent, but bloody good all the same.

We went to see Monsters University today. Not as good as the first, but still really enjoyed it. Loved the short they played first!

Watched The Sessions, there was a bit too much Helen Hunt for my me, but apart from that I thought it was a very good one.

Been watching the new seasons on Dexter and True Blood, both shows that I've followed from their beginnings

This is apparently Dexter's last season (8) and yeah it's getting a little tired - not sure how it's gonna pan out but I think they're positioning themselves for a happy ending.
Spoiler: show
looks to me like they're shifting the blame for Dexter's crimes onto the psychologist who claimed she "created" him. Bit of a get out of jail free card for our serial killer hero.

True Blood has kinda taken the same path as Heroes did - killer first season, steadily declining since them, now it seems to have lost the plot, it's a dreadfully de-focused mish mash, vampires, werewolves, witches, mediums, faeries, loads of shit going on.
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change? ~~ Oddball

Saw "God Bless America" by Bobcat Goldthwait. decent film, kind of funny. fairly gruesome, mainly the first five minutes. if you can get past that though the rest it's nearly as bad.

We watched Letters from Juliet today - ow how I love these kind of movies! it's the kind of film where you can predict every second, which we did with the family, doing bets on the happy ending and altering the scenario when necessary  had lots of fun!

We started watching a series called Justified (before the TV needed surgery) and really enjoying it. Swiped from Wiki:

Justified is an American television drama series developed by Graham Yost. It is based on Elmore Leonard's novels Pronto and Riding the Rap and his short story "Fire in the Hole".[3] Its main character is Raylan Givens, a deputy U.S. Marshal. Timothy Olyphant portrays Givens, a tough federal lawman, enforcing his own brand of justice in his Kentucky hometown.[3] The series is set in the city of Lexington, Kentucky, and the hill country of eastern Kentucky, specifically in and around Harlan.[4]

I was completely hooked after this scene:

In Episode 2, Searcy confronts Raylan about yet another shooting that, to borrow from the show's title, Raylan claims was justified.

"Put it like this," Searcy says: "If you was in the first grade and you bit somebody every week, they'd start to think of you as a biter."

Can't you go on your own? I used to go to the first showing of the day and the cinema was almost always empty - even at the first showing of a blockbuster. Better still, it was cheaper too! :D

There were more adults than kids when I went for the 7PM showing.
