The Slap

BBC4 has acquired the rights to the Australian adaptation of best-selling novel The Slap.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressr ... slap.shtml

At a summer BBQ, a man slaps a child who is not his son and the story traces the shattering repercussions of a single event upon a group of family and friends. The boy's parents are so affronted by the assault that they call the police and take the man to court. Beliefs are tested and relationships strained.
Some are born great, some achieve greatness and some have greatness thrust upon them.

The rest of us are a bit crap.

Maybe it'll be better than the book. I've heard the quality of the writing isn't great, but the story seems to have taken off.
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!
