Skyline was bloody awful. Animated sequence at end was ok but plot acting and pretty much everything was and insult.

I ran into this when I was on the youtube thread... I LOVE this movie... but yes its still a candidate for Worst Movie Ever

LION MAN!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUiBHjXAlo8
1:20 (His stand-in is about 3 stone lighter than he is oh and the shirt of many knives!)

or this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rp6qfVwU_f0
1:14 ("Now rush in after you have cut the guards down and run through the water into the castle!!!!" *tippy toe tippy toe*... "Ohhhhh my socks are getting wet... this is going to RUIN my shoes Stan!"

The whole movie is on there. One of my fav movies EVER

I have been looking for this for soooooooooooooooo long!

I first saw it when my g/f's and I used to have "Worst Movie" nights. The extras in this movie were hired from a circus.... hence the amazing fight scenes  If you look at the prison scenes you will hear the knock of wood everytime they touch something against the "bars" (a few knocks of wood in the fight scenes they missed too) and a careful look at the end of the movie you can see the gaffer tape holding the handles onto the shields...

I wish I could find the scene where "LionMan" runs off to save the maiden in distress across a hill covered with sharp rocks.

* arms out to his sides hands flapping to keep his balance*

"Ouw! Ouw! Ouch! Ouw! Hurty Hurty Ouw! Sharp sharp ouch! Stan I think I've twisted my ankle! STAN! Ouw!"

Or the horse chase.... where the FIRST rider gallops across the screen in a wonderfu display of supreme horsemanship (they only had enough money to hire ONE horseman) and the rest of the ravaging horde follow at a trot bouncing up and down and side to side clinging to thier horses for dear life!

Love that scene, it made the film. I want to see a sequel just because of that bit but the rest. Was not. Good. ...

He's having a bit of trouble paddling against the tide huh?

"Hurry up Reg! Paddle harder!"
"I'm TRYING! Oh! I'm going backwards.... Stan I said I 'm going backwards! Are you sure I'm supposed to have a STICK? Do we have an oar? ... I saw this film once....!"
"Oh for gods sake! Turn the boat around and we will film you paddling back the other way!"
"Stan! Stan! I'm being swept away Stan! The current is really strong here Stan! Stan? Hellloooooooooo! Can someone send out the support boat?

"Vince! Pull your loin skirt back up around your armpits! This is a FAMILY movie!" And KEEP your knees together when you sit on those poles!"

Ohhhhhhhhh... and just when it was getting interesting..... Bugger!

So bad they are hilarious....

Postby MercTech » Tue Jul 19, 2011 11:34 pm

Most have heard of "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" amd some other films are so bad they have their own entertainment value...

My personal list includes"
A Polish Vampire in Burbank http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0089823/
Sorority Babes in the Slimeball Bowl-A-Rama http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096142/
Machine Girl http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1050160/
Rubber http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1612774/
Sorceress http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086340/
(You have to admire the chutzpah of a viking with a beard of obviously red yarn. This was made back with being Penthouse Playmate of the Year included a movie roll. And a good example of why this was a bad idea.)

The movies we viewed on submarines back in the 80s gave a true appreciation for "bad cinema". We even rated them with the "fist scale" as in watching felt like you were gagging with how many fists shoved in your throat.

What really stymies me is that Hollywood actually remakes movies that were disgustingly bad and worthless. Two come to mind that were a waste of money when viewed on the one dollar Tuesday matinee... "The Fog" and "The Hills Have Eyes"... both were thorough turkeys in the original and worse with high sFX remakes.

I dunno whether I am allowed to include crappy television programs, but I have watched, albeit voluntarily and recently, two of the worst Doctor Who serials ever to be done: The Ark and Four to Doomsday. Admittedly, it was the first time I had ever watched either of them. It will also probably be the last.

The DVD trailers are much better than the stories themselves. Here's the one for The Ark and another for Four to Doomsday...

Actually, I've had an idea for a thread... :)
