I'd watch it, I really liked the characters and there is so much they could do with them. I agree though this one has to be post watershed

I personally disagree. I think that there could be further adventures in the Doctor Who series with them, but I'm not quite certain the idea has enough mileage to warrant a spinoff. Maybe a couple of TV movies, but not a fully-fledged series.

There was talk of doing so with Professor Litefoot and Henry Gordon Jago from The Talons of Weng-Chiang (and now they do, albeit as audio dramas from Big Finish), actually.
