How Do you imagine Discworld characters?

Postby anituaj » Tue May 03, 2011 3:42 pm

Yesterday i was watching a rerun of Life on Mars, and watching it, when i watched Gene Hunt....:idea: I saw Sam Vimes! At least my vision of him
I encourage you to write any other similarities between Fantasy/Discworld

There's a TV series called Foyle's War that had a female secret service agent in it. The actress is named Ellie Haddington and I think she'd be perfect for Granny Weatherwax. :D

Something to give you nightmares...

Vimes = Sid James
Sybil = Hattie Jaques
Angua = Babs Windsor
Detrius = Bernard Breslaw
Carrot = Bernard Cribbens
Vetinari = Kenneth Williams
Fred - Terry Scott
Nobby - Kenneth Connor
Mrs Cake = Joan Sims

It would work - given the time machine - they'd slot into the roles and it'd be another day at the office for them.

It'd be an abomination, of course, but a working abomination

It would have to be a zombie movie as most of them are dead. :lol:

Good point, well made.

Overdubbing an old Carry On film on YouTube would be good enough though, surely?

Given that Bernard Bresslaw did play the Ice Warrior Varga in Doctor Who, I reckon playing Detritus would be easy by comparison. Pity he's dead.

As for Bernard Cribbens, you have got to be kidding me. I've seen him acting when he was younger, and while he may just have the earnestness for the role of Carrot, he's not big and tall. He's a good actor and all, but...

Yep, that's given me nightmare fuel. And now, I welcome the sweet, sweet embrace of death*...

*Not really.

The only one still alive is Babs Windsor!

That's okay, Bouncy. I thought he was dead too. I must have confused him with Roy Castle. :)
