I think Excalibur is a great film, I really want to buy it on Blu-ray but I can only find it available in the US so not sure if it will be region compatible :(

It actually follows Malory's Mort de Arthur fairly closely, but as that's a really weird book to begin with...

It was filmed in Ireland.

Still all better than the plot of the more recent arthur stuff such as Arthur and the last legion.
Still Python and Disneys sword in the stone are my two favourites :D

Rather bland compared to Arthur of the Britons (before you were born).

I'm currently reading Bernard Cornwall's Arthur trilogy and it's good stuff, very plausible, evokes a fragmented Brittain of of warring kingdoms and opposing religions with encroaching barbarian invaders to boot.
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change? ~~ Oddball

Thought I'd use an existing thread to port this bit of news.

The gang are back together again to do voices for an animated film of Chapman's autobiography using an audio recording that he himself made before he died. Sounds really interesting, could be good. :)

I hope Eric Idle joins in. No one has exploited Python more for this own personal gain than him.
