Due South

Postby Tonyblack » Thu Jan 27, 2011 9:47 am

I just watched an old episode of Due South and have been pondering whether Benton Fraser was in any way inspired by Captain Carrot.

I think they have a lot in common - including a half wolf.

Interesting, they do share lots of characteristics, although, I've only seen half an episode at the most.

Not sure about inspired by, but they definitely have a great deal in common. :) I think Due South is an excellent series (especially the final two seasons).

True. :D

I love the almost word for word repetition of his back-story to people who may be interested in what a Mountie is doing in Chicago -

"I first came to Chicago on the trail of the killers of my father and, for reasons which don't need exploring at this juncture, I have remained, attached as liaison to the Canadian consulate."

Great series. I never considered it before but there are a lot of similarities in their personalities. Maybe someone can ask Sir Terry at one of the conventions?
