Nikolaj Coster-Waldau plays one of the more provocative characters

Certainly provoked my interest

I was excited about this, hoping it would take my mind off waiting for the next series of Spartacus. But was kinda dissapointed by it actually. The first episode seemed overly incest-y and so far the only cool thing are the Direwolves. [SPOILER] And one of them had already been killed off by episode 2 so....

I expect the books are good though.

Well Rupert Everett voiced Prince Charming, but then I guess there's very little else that's different - I prefer Jaime's dwarf brother actually. He's got the 'melty' voice just right :D

SG - I thought he looked familiar!

I'm still watching it but really just in the hope the story get better...
I'm super fussy about TV series, only really watch scifi/fantasy/comedy and its got to be really good to tear me away from my books and video games!

I agree. He's the best character on the entire show. Not to be anti-equal-heights about it, but usually when dwarfs are in movies they aren't particularly good actors and you can't stop thinking of them as dwarfs. This guy is such a good actor you don't even notice his height most of the time.

Now, the one who is the real freak is the giant barbarian general guy who looks like Satan. Even if it's all makeup, I can't imagine him in any other 'normal' role.

He plays Ronan Dex in Stargate Atlantis.

I think he's been cast as Conan in the re-makes as well. Guess its another non-speaking part so he'll be quite good at that
