Hey everyone not to start up an old topic but i just uploaded a 3D render intro to discworld

This is not the finished product but im hoping you like it and could do me the favour of telling me what your liked about it and didnt like =]

I love the music (although it seems oddly familiar). The Turtle and elephants were somwhat dark I thought. For people new to Discworld, this aspect should be made clear - that it's a world travelling through space on elephants and a turtle.

Also the rimflow could be a bit clearer. Currently it looks as if the sea just stops when it gets to the edge.

The Tower of Art looks very familiar - have you taken it from some other production, or is it your own design?

The music is coustom from a friend of mine

The darkness is a bit of issue with the Carrara 3D render program trying to resolve it

Im currently messing with some effects with the falls

And the tower of art is from terry pratchetts colour of magic lol couldnt be botherd spending 2 hours to make it in a 3D program lol

Agree with Tony there but a good effort neverless, would like to see more further on.

Can you not just add a light source to make the turtle more visible? Although, I'm only familar with 3DS Max so that might not be possible. What program are you using?

Whatever program you're using, can you import BSP or VMF files? I could map out various settings from the book for you if you wished .

It imports any files =] its called carrara 3D studio

Although the entire thing will not be in 3D rendered it will be in cartoon form

And hopefully will be getting the recordings done soon
