When the idea came into my head for this thread I had no idea of the animal I was releasing.

This version of a Kiki Dee / Elton John classic is truly awful and only those of you who have a strong constitution should consider clicking onTHIS link.

My God can they get any worse than this

I'm going to lighten up the mood I think. Feeling slightly guilty but I actually do like the Leningrad Cowboys... I mean, they're from Finland, that should do for an excuse...

How the North met East and what happened to the rock classic

Here's another example that whatever Sisters did ALWAYS sounded better than original. I'm posting it here though to comply with Carrot's taste impediment :P

There's one more from me and maybe this time a little bit controversial. But let me explain... This is a bad cover, but not because it's a bad song, but because nobody remembers the original anymore.

Which is far, far superior to any other version, ever.

HOWGH!

Well The Sisters certainly did a better job than this Sad Screaming Soul.

I never thought much of Gun’s n Roses but now think considerably less of them of them.

NOBODY !!! will get a shot at Helge Schneider! He's the german proof for the thin line between a genius and a maniac.. just take a look, at what he normaly does Es gibt Reis for example..

And here's what I think the best remake ever -
Johnny Cash - Hurt
Fabricati Diem, Pvnk!

Having spent my university years mainly watching Viva und Viva Zwei, I am very familiar with Helge's unique style and brilliance :) With film director Uwe Boll he's simply up there at the forefront of modern German art :D

Still... What a putrid renditions :D

Rolf Harris rips off Zeppelin.

What goes around comes around.

Here's Splodgeness Abounds ripping off Rolf Harris' "Two little boys"

...and this is absolutely appalling!

It does the heart good to see Mr. Harris getting a taste of his own medicine.
Shame it was a Punk rock band that did it but you can't have it all

Alright so I haven't clicked on any of the links, but surely the worst cover ever would be anything at all by Bill Shatner. I mean, I love him & everything, but please!!!

A truly awful cover and thanks to Dotsie I’m sure we have the winner by a very long way.

I’ve never been so embarrassed in my life.

On purpose covers of awful covers (or originals) do need a special mention though....

Guns & Roses

The Sh*tner

The dead Jackson boy Quite a good guitar solo in here actually :P

I'm falling asleep over the keyboard here so I'll stop for a bit, but I'd like to thank everyone for reminding me why I always avoided The Sisters of Mercy - they give a whole new meaning to Mercy Killings
