I've been watching The Saint on TV while I've been off and got it in my head to dig out the books that I picked up when I was younger..Had loads- yellow cover ones, picture covers and a hardback of one called Getaway that should have been returned to Nottingham library in 1937 But I can't find the box they were in Throwing a serious strop

Somthing like that happened to me yesterday, I handed over a £10 pound note for a couple of newspapers received the change and receipt and put it in my pocket went to put the £5 note in my wallet could not find it I wonder if I put it in the rubbish bin outside.

oh it was your £5 was it We have a Newsagents that quite regular try and give you change for a £5 when you give them a £10 you have to be very wary

Ever since an argument that I won and another that I lost, I always announce what amount the note is good and loud as I hand it over. But I have had them mysteriously hide and then reappear later (whew).

If you look on Tills there is a clip especially for the note till you give the change then you put the note in the till, that's what should happen and 99 times out of 100 (ish) does
