Hmm, no, he could detect that they were up to something because of the malignancies, but he couldn't actually see anything at all. That was the point.

Death knew the world was going to end, and when.
Death knew the auditors were behind the plot to end the world.
Death knew the auditors were getting a "human" to build another glass clock.
Death knew Time had married Wen.
Death knew that Time had had a baby and who the midwife was.
Death knew that Lu-Tse was with Lobsang.
Death knew Lobsang was Time's child.
Death couldn't do anything because he had his Duty to ride out.
Death got Susan to help foil the auditors.

I don't see how it's possible to say that Death couldn't foresee the auditors' plan. He foresaw it all! The only thing he couldn't see was Lobsang (and Jeremy).

And it leads to further tangles in that since DEATH couldn't foresee the Auditors plan to destroy the world, than what makes you think Time could either?

Therefore, if Death foresaw all the plan, what makes anyone think Time couldn't too?

I think the person who really saved the world was the female version of Time - Lobsang/Jeremy's mum. As she could see past, present and future, she knew the auditors would stop time. She made sure that her children were born at the right time and place, and be old enough to be involved and save the world by uniting their bodies. She did it all so she could retire with Wen and live in a little "cottage".

Finishing touches to the theory

If the auditors killed time, they would also have killed Time. Time obviously knew this.

Time chose to have two babies in order to carry out the main function of time ie; the constant destruction and creation of the Universe.

Jeremy was the one who destroyed the universe, and Lobsang was the one who created it again.

It was all cleverly planned by Time who knew exactly what would happen all along, because she pre-remembered it.

Killing Time was never part of the plan. They wanted to trap her in order to prevent anything from ever changing.

I still don't buy it. Having two babies just seem like too much effort to achieve the same end result that you'd get by not having any babies at all!

If my theory is wrong, answer this;

Why did Time and Wen give their babies away to be adopted? Surely a demi-god (or whatever) and an intelligent History Monk, with the super powers they obviously possessed, were more than capable of raising children.

Time sacrificed watching her children grow up in order to defeat the Auditors. This explains why she was crying. (I don't remember the actual quote, but Kakaze mentioned it)
