Questions

I have noticed quite a few questions going around pertaining to specific books so I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread for them.

Here is the first one,

Does the character Lu-tze in the Thief of time have any resemblance to Laozi, the founder of Taoism?

I've moved this to the Discworld Novels forum. We already have such a thread HERE. But that's not a problem. :)

To answer your quest, yes, he is based on Laozi, although one could also say that is more of a parody of all the "very wise and much more than they seem little old Asian men" characters strewn about literature and martial arts movies through the ages.
