Conan the Barbarian? Publisher mess-up?

When i got my harper colins copy of the light fantastic, its subtitle said something about a wild tale with rincewind and conan the barbarian.
Last i looked it was cohen
Its the version with the really bright colours and rubbishy cover art icons

Sorry, got it all wrong. The cohen bit is still wrong, but the quote is actually "From the apocalypse to Conan the barbarian, more discworld fun!"
And i got to a bit where they summon death with the rite of AshEnte instead of AshKente

The Harper Collins paperback copy that Sharlene has, has "Conan" rather than Cohan on the front cover. I would have responded sooner, but I couldn't find the book.

But I don't think this is a mistake - the blurb on the front is saying what Terry is parodying in the book - "From the apocalypse to Conan the Barbarian, more sidesplitting Discworld fun!"

Yes indeedy. There are a number of stories written by Robert E. Howard 1906-1936, and he was considered as one of the fathers of modern fantasy literature. There were also two (I think) dodgy but enjoyable films starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. You might recognize this clip of CONAN from one of the Discworld books.
