Where do you buy your DW books and at what price?

As well as having read the hardbacks, I find myself buying the unabridged audio books which I like to listen to when I'm out and about, did not mean to it just happened. Listening to the Wee Free Men again.

just bought The Truth and Interesting Times from E Bay and Yesterday cos i was passing WH Smith, i bought the Folklore of Discworld, I really must get another Plastic box for my books

I work in a used book shop. I get to read them for free without stealing. Now I'm sad I don't see a rubbing it in smiley to the right.

For me there is nothing like owning your own and seeing them on your own bookshelf.

Couldn't agree more wwd, the only books I ever PDF download to read are ones I intend to buy or ones that are out of copyright, likewise DVDs, I only ever buy pirate copies if I am likely to buy the real version if I enjoy the film.

I buy them in hardback because I just can't wait. Then when the paperback comes out, I buy it because they're easier to handle. Then I look for second hand copies to lend people. I usually also try to get the UK/Canadian edition as well as the US edition because sometimes there are subtle differences. Sometimes there are not so subtle differences (The Truth had some serious differences - one missing line changed a character, and one misplaced comma changed a different one).

The only thing that bothers me about pirate copies Square, is you never know who you are funding, I would hate to think the money was going to terrorists and fundamentalists that aids them in injuring or killing our troops.

That hadn't occurred to me, consider them off my shopping list, to be honest it's very rare that I've bought them anyway.

It's just one of those things which can have far reaching concesquences and a few people can't see beyond a bargin price, or some misguided ones just don't care.
