Carrot and Angua

There are a few references as well about the "royal succession". Angua and Carrot marry and then for whatever reason Carrot assumes the throne (I hope not, I love Vetinari and the concept of a Tyranny)...Angua is expected to produce an heir. Which is heir when the king fathers an entire litter of pups? (Obviously, the first born, but you get the point.)

They'd only be part-time pups though -

The genes will get further diluted so some of the children might even be incapable of transmogrifying into wolves, although there could be a full time wolf if the lycanthrope gene is a strong recessive...

Wasn't Angua's other brother a f/t sheepdog somewhere?

He certainly was - and won prizes for it too.

Would any heir Angua produced be a hairy heir? :?

Yup, he won awards in Fourecks. In their litter, only Angua and Wolfgang were shapeshifting werewolves. The other two, Andrei and Elsa were yennorks - werewolves unable to change. When Wolfgang killed Elsa for her inferiority, Andrei ran away. :D

The von Uberwalds are quite a disfunctional family. I think the British Royal Family may be related to them.

Well according to Doctor Who Victoria was bitten by a Werewolf

Speciesist! For all we know, their behavior may be quite normal for the typical Uberwald werewolf clan.

Yeah, that's what made me think Fourecks, but I wasn't totally sure on it.

I have Border Collies, so tend to pay a bit more attention when there's talk about herding. :D
