My first post,
My mum bought me a kindle as she likes sending me books from the uk but over the years its cost more in postage than the books cost (she lives in the uk I live in the middle of sweden).
My experiences of kindle are mixed.
Good points, (not just kindle but most ebook readers in most of the points)
1) you can have loads of books in a very small package
2) with kindle you can save the books you bought on amazon on your kindle account.
3) the text to speach function can actually read most books where the publisher allows.
4) If your eyesight is bad you can choose larger text
5) Yu can listen to music and read at the same time as kindle (dont know if others can) can play up mp3 files.
6) fast downloads from amazon (om wi-fi models)
Bad points
1) kindle (or mine at least) locks sometimes and is a pig to get going again.
2) after a freeze its hard to find your place again as they dont use page numbers
3) keypad is designed for people with fingers the size of wee mad arthur
4) uncomfotable to fall asleep with your face in the book as its hard
5) smells of plastic not book
6) not good to read in the bath.
7) not good for reading on the toilet as when you finally have unfrozen it, you are done or have forgotten to do what you were doing.
If you find a book on the net that kindle cant read or dosnt fit on the screen without scrolling, you can download something like mobypocket creator and save a kindle freindly format.

Haven't got any feedback yet other than "Help, how do I get it to work," followed by "It's OK, I figured it out!"
I have read books on my iphone using sunscroll and ibooks. I have doiwnloaded the kindle for iphone but not used it yet. I do like reading on my iphone, it is very convenient. I just finished Les Misérables which is a MASSIVE tome IRL - to have it in bitesized chunks on the iphone was pretty cool.
