I just read something very confusing in unseen academicals.
Tell me: Since when does Hex have a voice?

It makes sense.

Terry uses voice dictation software on his computer to write a book, so should it not follow that a computer in DW has a voice to use too? :D

All right! I'll just mark the topic with a spoiler-warning, then!
Phew! Thanks! I was nearly going to make him speak for the comic. Would've been a bit stupid, because it all happens before UA.

Hex speaks through a Mask type interface to make him more appealing? I think.
Aha! So, Bob's yer uncle... very clever.

Hex was talking during Science of the Discworld II (The Globe) as a kind of Elizabethan talking crystal ball whilst Rincewind and the other top wizards were on Roundworld.

Actually it was a little bit like how they carried Orac around whenever they transported off the Liberator (or Scorpio) in Blake's 7

Ah! Avon - such a moody, magnificent grump. I liked him too. Still do - he was in Emmerdale a few months back as a geriatric biker mate of Alan Turner's
