As I have now been absolved of all wrongdoing by none other than Professor Hix, I will resume posting.

Good to have you back smartypants -

Gobslang and Slobsang are fairly urgently needed in the Thief of Time discussion as we're all being far too polite to each other

Welcome back Pooh :D
Getting an education was a bit like a communicable sexual disease. It made you unsuitable for a lot of jobs and then you had the urge to pass it on.

Great to see you again! :D
Look, you've got it all wrong! You don't NEED to follow ME, You don't NEED to follow ANYBODY! You've got to think for your selves! You're ALL individuals!
Yes! We're all individuals!

I have to admit that when I read the job description of Professor Hix, I thought of you!!
Going to my school was an education in itself. Which is not to be confused with actually getting an education (Schultz)

At least now that we are once again solvent (in the black) with the bank again, after the games on Wednesday I am going to have to break down and buy the hardcover version of UA... was going to try and avoid it but it seems to be terribly popular. *sigh* I agree with Jan, we were all being altogether too polite.

P.S. pooh, I am actively working on my own socio-emotional issues so I shan't be hijacking a plane to Japan any time soon. It was getting close tho. In an odd way, a very odd way I have to thank you for bringing up some "issues" that I had not covered in therapy. It is either Thank you or beat you senseless...
Aha! So, Bob's yer uncle... very clever.

"Thankyou for being you"

What exactly is this phrase meant to mean? :?

Why should somebody be thanked for being themselves? They aren't usually different people, are they? It's not as if people make a conscious decision or effort to be themselves, they just are.

You might as well say "Thankyou gravity for being gravity" or "Thankyou non-existent morally-inferior Supreme Being for being non-existent and morally-inferior"

I don't understand! :?
