You get randomly bought some new books? :D my dad comes home today and hands me a carrier bag in which contains: wintersmith (hardback), nation (hardback), hat full of sky (paperback) and hogfather (paperback) suffice to say i was rather pleased and ran upstairs to force them into my now overflowing bookcase :)

What a nice dad you've got! :D
Look, you've got it all wrong! You don't NEED to follow ME, You don't NEED to follow ANYBODY! You've got to think for your selves! You're ALL individuals!

How long exactly?

I didn't start reading him until I was sixteen ... when the Wyrd Sister's cartoon was shown on channel 4. I am also ashamed to say that I did not read Colour of Magic or Light Fantastic until a couple of years ago.

I have. I tried really hard to understand them as well. Found the science hard going. I only studied physics to A-level standard at that was nearly 20 years ago.

I thought the first one was a good balance between story and science but the second and third one were too heavily weighed towards the science.

I find science in THIS world difficult and hard to understand ... let alone science of a more confusing world like Disc...

I think actually I tried reading one and couldn't get on with it!

I must admit that for number two and three I skipped the science bits (I get enough of that stuff at work). I did intend to go back and read them after I finished the wizard story, but never got around to it.
