Sir Pterry and Monty Python

In Sir TP's books there are several bits which might have been inspired by Monty Python. Here are some after I've just spent 10 minutes thinking.

Rincewind = Brave Sir Robin (Holy Grail)

Igor's speech impediment = Biggus Dickus (Life of Brian)

Pteppic and Sphinx = Bridge questions (Holy Grail)

Ronald Saveloy's translations = Belgium/English dictionary sketch

Getting hit on the head in specific areas to improve intelligence = Getting hit on the head room before argument sketch.

I'd just like to say that not one of the people who's replied to this thread is British. :P

American, Swiss and Dutch. :lol:

Some important things eg; humour (TP or Monty Python) are global and that's nice! :D It gives me hope for the human race! (he says while polishing off the dregs of the first bottle of wine because it's Friday night)

Has anyone in Discworld been hit with a fish?


I love Python. My mom used to let me stay up late Sunday nights to watch it.
Mondays, I'd go to school being as obnoxious as possible --great fun in an RC school. ;0)
