These are all cryptic clues for Beatles songs.

I posted this on Jan's new site, but it's proving a touch too difficult. I'm sure it will pose absolutely no problems for the likes of you all and give you something to pass the time on a rainy/sunny July Saturday.

1=The brothel is closed
2=Old toll road
3=In ceramic hell eviction
4=Short meeting
5=Masochistic tennis player
6=Repap Shakespeare
7=Aristocratic holiday singer
8=Bush

Now that'll be interesting - will they be the same as mine? :lol:

I think what's partly wrong with our dire showing in the new place is that I'm pretty sure (with one exception who's on her holidays atm) that I'm the oldest by far over there and the rest of them barely know who the Beatles are... :roll:

My co-runner is about two years younger than me but American and has a very unfortunate taste for younger singing ensembles - if you'd done Take That for instance she'd have done the lot by now :evil:

I'm sure this lot'll gobble it up! :twisted:

That may be one of the problems Pooh - it's us older folks who remember the Beatles' songs. You are showing your age old chap (so am I :lol:

you might have enjoyed being in liverpool on friday!
it was beatles day.
every pub in mathew st and the cavern quarter was booming, even the kids get dressed up in school.
great laugh even if my head still hurts now!

I'm not a big Beatles fan (though I do like Elanor Rigby), but when I did some "youngsters music" questions they couldn't do it.
