plums are much sweeter and smoother than gooseberries which are slightly knobbly/prickly and need added sugar to make them edible - I think that's something to with the gooseberry bushes always being planted at the bottom of the garden with all the babies that keep being found under them...

You are quite right, Jan.

The bottom of the garden is where the storks like to congregate and get up to all sorts!
They use the babies as an excuse to meet up, and can (at times) create quite a lot of disturbance. Hence the reason why nurseries are oft to be found at the back of the garden, amongst the bedding plants!

Debauchery and Braniacs... yup, that is what is happening in Minnesota somewhere right now. My good friend from Everquest is there right now. There is a school for Brilliant kids up there next door to where this "gathering?" is held, and they always bring a group of them to see that they too can have fun and be intelligent.

Tis a very large thingy, last year there were two ambulance calls and one birth occurred. I call it the Deviant Brainiacs... Phanol liked that name.

Woo Hoooo! Party is in three hours, been a proper British preparation... bloody rain all night and all day... BUT supposed to quit when the party starts. I had my Precognition/second sight going a month ago when I planned it apparently Although, I must admit I thought twould be broiling hot instead of a low of 58 degrees Farenheit.

That Campfire is gonna be Blazing and I have warned all to bring blankies for the legs, jackets and to wear SHOES... Never, Ever wear sandals to a true Woods outdoor party, unless of course you Like rocks, sand, grass trimmings and bugs in yer sandals.

My famous Pork Loins are roasting as we speak and hopefully the one bringing the beans won't wimp out and bring potatoe salad like Everyone Else... *Cackles* Flies out to buy Matchlight Charcoal Fire Cheater Muahahahahahahahahaha!!

The rain shut off an hour before it started, and it went Great! The Pork Loin was fantastic, they ate almost 25 lbs, or 10 Kilos. I was silly, the music was great, an mp-3 player in a mini-van with the new fm projector makes a great DJ on shuffle.

I am just now recovering, lol, I forget that when I am out late when the dew falls my allergies will act up. So I have been recovering from that. My husband's and my friends did not show up... wimps, and a bunch of Carrie's and Dave's friends showed up so it was an intellectual fest. They are College educated, and it would have been a debacle having the two different types of humans mixed.

Hubby's friends rarely use words with more than two syllables lol, so it would not have been pretty.

you cant have a proper house party without somebody making a div out of themselves. we had a bbq a few weeks ago and one of my friends(senior civil srvant)got totally pssed and poured a load of my special condiment sauce on his burger and literally started crying in pain i did give his misses the rest of the sauce to spike his food the next time he misbehaves. see how thoughtful i am
