Guy needs help ..... (games related)

Postby Turtles4Ever » Tue Nov 19, 2013 10:36 am

I'll start off my saying that this isn't spam (no, really it's not! :) ) - I've been a member here for a few years and I'm no spammer as others will testify to. :)

That's that out of the way, please indulge me further dear reader .........

David Vigil is an American who creates excellent replica merchandise related to Naughty Dog's 'Uncharted' and 'The Last Of Us' PS3 games - sadly he has life-threatening pancreatic cancer (his second cancer attack in 12 months). A number of people have been doing their utmost to try and help David. His story has been covered by Kotaku, Joystiq and Polygon to name three off the top of my head. However, more money is needed - he needs another $20,000 by 21st November; nearly $30,000 has already been donated but the donations are only slowly coming in and at the current rate he won't meet his target.

You can read a lot more in this NeoGAF thread:

David's donation and information site is here:

Joystiq article:

Polygon article:

David needs the money by 21st November. A number of us are trying to help save his life even though many of us don't know him personally.

Can you help, if not by donating then by simply passing this information around to friends or by posting it on other forums?

Thank you! :D

That's sad, Turtles. I hope the money can be raised.
