Oh good! Now I don't feel so bad. :lol: Is it me or did they intentionally make that site NOT user friendly? :?

Me neither. :lol:

I think they just kept trying to fix the site when it wasn't broken. It's reached the point now when my old computer just clenches everything if I try to access Facebook......so I've given up on it :x

I've learned that those cage bird feeders made to hold the bird seed cakes, are NOT squirrel proof. :roll:

I learnt that the Red Coat at Butlins, Filey in (I think) 1960, called Johnny O'Mahony, who brought fun and laughter to everyone that summer, and whose autograph I shyly obtained (and I had a huge crush on)......was the brother of the very popular Irish comedian Dave Allen :D

Not forgetting that Dave Allen started his career as a Butlin's Redcoat as well. :D

In case anyone missed it, this documentary was shown on BBC the other week;

I was prompted to mention it after listening to Radio 4 this afternoon and a random 'senior-moment' memory quite recently.
Until this afternoon I really hadn't put the facts together.

I'd never heard of Dave Allen. :oops: And after a quick google it turns out he was born about 1 mile from where I grew up.
Ah well.

He was probably one of the first observational comedians. While most comics of his era were telling jokes (which he also did), he was making comments about the crazy things in life. He was always taking the p*** out of religion too.

His TV shows always made me laugh and he was fond of a wee dram or three. :lol:
