Ouch Dug.

I feel pretty good today. You know the year is winding down when you can see the front of the refrigerator again. School letters/timetables and the endless reminders, begone!

Pretty good, I woke up this morning early  always a good sign, it was bright, crisp and sunny about 1°C caught an early train to Edinburgh then onwards to where I spent the next 4½ hours in the labyrinth that is Ikea, went to buy some new bookcases (5) and a matching DVD rack, just in time for elevensies breakfast and free coffee, also bought a load of household stuff for the puncture ;) after that more free coffee and cake, getting them delivered on Friday, thats the weekend sorted. :D

Feeling a bit sore, I fell whilst walking this morning by slipping on a still slightly frozen patch of fallen damp leaves and jarred my bad knee. It didn't feel too bad as I finished the walk but as the afternoon went on it got worse. Just out of a nice hot bath and it's easing again now so hopefully I just pulled something rather than damaging the ligaments any more.

It's so easy to do one minute you're going along, next you're in the air coming down with a thump hope it's nothing serious Mad, as we get older it takes longer to recover.

Tell me about being older..........my working life puts me in the way of all kinds of incidental injuries. Today I got smacked around the face by a whippy tree branch which hurt a lot but has not made a mark, (skin like a rhino?) skinned my finger during the removal of another part of the same tree and this booboo has a plaster and germolene cossetting it. But my major injuries are always invisiblie and it's the back pain after I've done several hours stooping and bending :hand: ............I find alcohol helps in responsibly measured doses...... of course! :D

Responsibly measured doses, eh Janet? I think that's where I might be going wrong ;) .

Glad you got your Ikea shopping done Dug! I have a love/hate relationship with that place. No matter what you go in for, you're there all day. No wonder they have a restaurant. There's a small organizer I want to buy for the girls room, only $2.99, so I was going to order it online. Do you know how much they want to ship it? It's $15!!! :x And it's just a small, lightweight thing that folds down flat.

Con, sorry about the work frustrations. Try not to bring it home with you, if at all possible.

Ouch Mad. :( Sounds painful. Hope you're feeling better!

They charged $70 for delivery and a futher $30 for picking, that's why yours was $15 If they include the picking charge, I was going to get them to assemble and fit them but that would have been another $100 so I declined.
