Congratulations on Terry Pratchett's honorary degree

Postby Katblossom » Sat Sep 28, 2013 10:42 pm

Well, I went to my brothers graduation from the open university today and as my family were waiting we looked through the program and whose face popped up as recieving an honorary degree for public services?
O ..M..G
We thought it must be just someone representing him perhaps but no Terry Pratchett was there in person receiving an honorary degree. Rob Willikins read out a speech written by him which was moving and inspiring. We got a photo of the man himself onstage as my little brother got his degree award handshake looking cool in the background.
It was lovely actually but what a surprise...
